Career Programs are local educational programs focusing on a career or career sector that combines related in-school course work with a work experience component.
Career programs prepare students for entry into the workplace or continued studies at the post-secondary level in a specific career sector and emphasize generic employability skills. Eligible work experience courses include the following:

- Work Experience 12B Ministry Authorized Work Experience
Into to Youth Work In Trades
Introduction to Youth Work In Trades (Formerly Intro to Secondary School Apprenticeship). This entails in-school assignments and 30 hours of volunteer work in a variety of trades settings

- SSA 11A Secondary School Apprenticeship

Career Programs correspond to the eight Focus Areas used in the Graduation Program. The Focus Areas are:
